Established in 1990, the pivotal running shoe has remained a hallmark of the Asics brand ever since, thanks to its incredible performance on the road as well as its timeless style and unusual lineup of color schemes. To celebrate the retro silhouette’s anniversary, Asics has been rolling out new colorways all year long, their latest arriving in stores just this week. Adding to the brand’s current lineup of monotone colorways, the most recent GEL-Lyte III to hit Asics retailers paints the smooth suede upper entirely in black, from mesh base to suede overlays. Even the laces get an upgrade, receiving a waxed treatment to complete the look.
