In 2007, Nike released the Air Huarache ‘Mowabb’ pack, celebrating the relationship between the two beloved silhouettes by merging fan-favorite colorways from one shoe with the other. This week, we have our first look at the “Rattan” pair from the pack, coming soon.

The Nike ACG Air Mowabb finally saw its most recent retro release in the tail end of 2020, bringing back some of our favorite colorways of the vintage hiking shoe in a remastered format. Along with the recent anniversary celebration of the Air Huarache, Nike has drawn a connection between the two that dates back to 2007, when the Huarache and Mowabb last teamed up for a special series of colorways that cast both shoes, based on the same designs, in each other’s most popular colorways. Now, the “Rattan” colorway of the Air Huarache has surfaced for a retro release some fifteen years later. Dressed in the namesake rattan birch color for the shoe’s all-leather main layers, this pair adds mixed colors of neoprene in vibrant shades of orange and blue, mimicking the look of the original Rattan Mowabb colorway.
