Kobe Bryant’s nike line is ramping up its Protro releases, rehashing the iconic sneakers with modern technology. This week, we have an early look at a new ‘Black Mamba’ Kobe 4 Protro, arriving this holiday season.
Nike’s Kobe line is finally back, following the legendary basketball player’s tragic death and a dispute with his estate. Now, fresh releases are beginning to line up for the rest of the year, with the Protro edition of the Kobe 4 leading the way. Over the last several weeks, early looks at a stealthy ‘Black Mamba’ colorway have surfaced, showing off a shoe that pays homage to Kobe’s legacy. The pair, cast in a triple black color scheme, is constructed from a smooth nubuck with snakeskin overlays for the forefoot, collar, and Swooshes. Packed with modern court-ready technology, a glossy black heel counter sporting KB’s signature in gold completes the look.
