Sporty & Rich has carved a niche for themselves as an upscale athleisure brand, focused on wellness and simple styles. This season, they are back in partnership with adidas, releasing a trio of colors for the Handball Spezial this month.
Sporty & Rich were ahead of the game when they released their first collection with adidas in 2022. Featuring a crisp white & green pair of the Samba, the silhouette took off in 2023, with S&R adding fuel to the flames with two more Samba-based projects that Summer. Now, a new collection from the Emily Oberg-led brand has emerged, once again ahead trends by making use of the adidas Handball Spezial. While similar to the Samba, the Handball features a meatier construction, and some more interesting design choices like stripes that reach into the midsole. For their first shot at the silhouette, S&R has drafted three colorways in suede, pink, green, and blue, all of which feature their branding in a simple adidas font on the tongues.
SPORTY & RICH X ADIDAS HANDBALL SPEZIAL RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest collection from Emily Oberg’s Sporty & Rich and adidas has not been officially announced for release yet, but is expected to land this month, on May 23rd, 2024. Ditching the Samba in favor of the Handball Spezial, pairs will be available from both adidas and select retailers, with an estimated price tag of $120 or more.
