Sporty & Rich is expanding on their many adidas collections this month, this time taking inspiration from this month’s start of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Once again, the Samba is the flagship, seen here sporting a USA-inspired red, white, and blue color scheme.
Emily Oberg’s Sporty & Rich brand has grown a strong relationship with adidas since their first collaboration in late 2022. Their debut collection helped pave the way for the Samba’s incredible rise in popularity in 2023, and they have continued to use the model regularly in their several releases since then. Now, just after their Spring 24 series released in June, another pair of the Samba has surfaced in celebration of the Olympics.
Sporty & Rich’s use of the Samba over the last two years can easily be pointed to as one of the major factors in its recent rise to fame. Their releases of the retro trainer often come in simple palettes, paired with matching sets of casual athletic apparel. For their upcoming release, the model dons a familiar red, white, and blue palette to represent USA in the Olympics, using white leather as a base and cream suede for the shoes other panelling.
SPORTY & RICH X ADIDAS SAMBA “OLYMPIC” RELEASE INFORMATION
The next collection from Sporty & Rich and adidas has not been officially announced yet, but is currently expected to release this month, on July 29th, 2024. The project focuses on “Olympic”-themed colorways, including this red, white, and blue Samba that will be available from both partners and select retailers for $150.
