While the once-revolutionary tiny in-tongue computer that gives the adidas Micropacer its name may be primitive by today’s standards, Gore-Tex is still the most respected name in waterproof fabrics. Toss the two into a blender and out comes a cool blue smoothie that keeps time on your tootsies.
A dark navy blue leather upper is laid over a white midsole. Add tonal navy stripes on the side panels and the effect is simple elegance. A closer look at the ankle reveals teal on the heel tab and a purple lining — almost grape-like. adidas thinks so highly of these that they set “quality”-emblazened tags on the soles and on a keychain that accompanies these computerized runners.
