Nike Hyperdunk 2010 – Z-Corp 3D Resin Model

With all the extensive previews of Nike Basketball’s Fall 2010 smorgasbord, we’re closer than ever to the Hyperdunk 2010, Hyperfuse and all of the Jordan Brand goodness also on tap.  The only way to get even closer to these previews is to take a look inside, both at the shoes and the process used to create them.  With the Nike Hyperdunk 2010, designer Leo Chang used Nike’s ace-in-the-hole to perfect the space-age silhouette.  Using a Z-Corp 3D printer, Nike designers like Chang can have a true-to-size prototype in their hands by the next day, which proves infinitely useful in tweaking designs.  The faster turnaround (no more waiting weeks for overseas factories to pump out the prototypes) means that the Hyperdunk 2010 is more or less ‘perfect’, and you can get some insight into the HD2010’s footbed in new photos after the jump.  via SoleCollector
