There’s plenty of sneaker-inspired art floating around these days, but here’s one of the more whimsical collections we’ve seen. NY-based Don Porcella is gaining renown for his pipe cleaner sculptures, and he recently tried his hand at bending up a couple pairs of kicks. In a humorous twist, the Air Jordan 1 and Nike Terminator Highs both feature a severed calf protruding from the shoe’s ankle, ‘dripping’ a blood red puddle of pipe cleaners. The New Balance runners are decidedly less ‘violent’, and pictures of each pair follows the jump.
