“We live in a very disposable world…”

Sneaker Art sprounts from many different sources. Gabriel Dishaw is neither a baker nor a full-time artist, but the magic he works with scraps of computer parts and other gizmos says the passion is there. However, Gabriel is indeed a full-time sneakerhead, boasting a collection of 200+ sneakers, and a full-time employee for one of the biggest footwear retailers in the United States, and you might recognize his work from previous Sneaker News features, like that of his ‘Not So New Shoes’ Exhibition. His latest work focuses on the flagship Air Max shoe of the year – the Air Max 2011. Dishaw converted scrapped parts and even one from a 747 aircraft to create an ‘Upcycled’ pair of Air Max 2011s. Continue reading for a full detailed gallery on this exceptional piece of work and head to FRESHNESS for the entire feature on Gabriel Dishaw.
