Shoes like the Nike Air Force 1, Nike Dunk, and Nike Air Royal have adapted well to the VT treatment, but more recently, Nike Sportswear’s VacTech initiative has hit Air Max models, which clearly have more of a tech/performance inspired design (not surprising, considering the AF1 and Dunk were 80’s babies). The verdict may still be out on the Air Max VT releases, but the all-new Nike Air Max 97 VT delivers a rock-solid closing argument thanks to the curvier body accomplished by the VT treated upper, and the perforations placed on the tongue and Swoosh window in perfect amounts give the Air Max 97 a sexy appeal not often associated with Air Max sneakers. If you remember the catalog images of the Nike Air Max 97 VT, you’ll notice that the perforations all around the upper have been removed in favor of the smoother upper, which we must say was the better decision. SoleFly has these in stock now so take a look below and watch for these at Nike Sportswear retailers!
