This Nike Football Cleat Melted Because It’s That Hot In Texas

Texas Melting Nike Football Cleats

Easy on the two-a-days, coach. It’s so hot in Texas right now, that Nike football cleats are melting. At least that’s what happened to Mike Harrison, a member of the infamous Allen High School Eagles football squad (you might remember them for shelling out $60 million for their new school stadium only to have to spend $10 million more for repairs because well, it’s Texas and football). From the photo above you can see the adhesive that holds together the carbon fiber being pulled away as if it were gum stuck to a sole. Here’s to hoping that things cool down and the players aren’t treated to some overwhelming practice schedule in an homage to an episode gone wrong of Friday Night Lights.
