If James Harden Stayed With Nike, You Would’ve Seen Him Wear The HyperLive

James Harden‘s switch to adidas was one of the more noteworthy news stories in the sneaker world this past year. Seemingly waiting in the wings to be Nike Basketball’s next signature athlete after an MVP-caliber season, Harden helped push not one, but two new Nike Basketball silhouettes last year in the Nike Zoom Run The One and the Nike Hyperchase. So what would The Beard have worn had he stayed with the Swoosh? Probably this Nike Hyperlive, a model in a similar breath as the Hyperchase given the near-identical midsole and outsole while the overall shape of the silhouette matches up quite well. That off-kilter Swoosh is moved to the forefoot and mesh is swapped out for a ventilated Hyperfuse construction. Expect the Hyperlive to make a big impact on college hoops this season, as this Duke Blue Devils-inspired pair would make a nice addition to Coach K’s lineup. More official photos below.
