Nike React Element 55 Appears In Silver Tones

Nike React Element 55 Appears In Silver Tones

As the proverbial “younger brother” of Nike’s React Element 87, the React Element 55 fills an interesting place in the Swoosh Brand’s lineup. Featuring the same cored-out React midsole, striking outsole plugs, and sleek upper as the 87 — albeit constructed of an opaque mesh instead of translucent TPE — the 55 offers a similar look for $30 less than its counterpart, and is much more widely available to boot. It’s arrived to market in many colorways over the past weeks as well, from a Tiffany-style combo of teal and black to a classic red/black, but this upcoming silver-and-grey toned pair may just be the most interesting one yet. Calling upon a cool grey mesh for the base, the shoe boasts shimmering silver accents on the midfoot swoosh and heel taping. A soft grey suede tongue and throat add a touch of premium flair, and the unique white React midsole with grey plugs completes the futuristic styling. Look for these Silver Surfer-esque Nike shoes to release on Nike.com later this Fall, and let us know what your favorite React Element 55 colorway is as well.
