The Nike Air Max 97 Swarovski Releases In Metallic Gold On December 26th

From its low-slung and streamlined silhouette to its swooping bullet-train inspired overlays, the Nike Air Max 97 is a shoe that practically screams speed. However, even with all the swift detailing, it maintains an undeniable air of luxury as well due to its two most popular colorways: the “Metallic Gold” and the “Silver Bullet.” Nike has riffed on the 97’s opulent look before, adding a smorgasbord of shimmering Swarovski crystals to the upper of the “Silver Bullet” 97 last year, and now a similarly adorned follow-up is set to come to stores: the ever-popular “Metallic Gold.” With overlays constructed of the Austrian crystal company’s proprietary Crystal Fabric — a flexible material that features thousands of densely clustered crystals — the shoe refracts light as it moves, providing a bright shimmering effect. The rest of the style is provided by a gold upper with red branded accents on the tongue and midfoot, and the look is then completed by a gold Air Max cushioning unit. Fan of the fancy embellishments? These extravagant Air Max are set to release December 26th for an even $400 USD.
