Ben Felderstein Just a few days away from the start of 2019, it is time for the industry’s top sneaker brands to begin unveiling their plans for the annual Chinese New Year celebration. While this popular holiday is celebrated in February, heavy hitters the likes of adidas, Jordan Brand, and Nike begin unveiling their plans a few months in advance to get the hype up. One of this year’s CNY highlights is undoubtedly the Air Jordan 12 that you can see pictured here with its official set of Swoosh branded images. Dressed in a shimmering combination of Black, Sail, Metallic Gold, and True Red, one of its focal points actually comes by way of its inner lining, featuring an abstract quilt-like pattern that may prove to be a consistent theme for all of Nike’s CNY creations. Other embellishments include a golden midfoot plate and aglets, a satin segmented upper, and a set of Chinese characters on the tongue of the left sneaker.
