New Balance Updates The Classics With The 997H

With a legacy of silhouettes behind them, the 99X line-up hailed from New Balance’s many efforts have surely reveled in the limelight for decades now, pushing its timeless design through years of changing trends. While new models seldom release from the Boston-based label, it seems that 2019 will be a turning point as they are now set to update one of their most revered icons with the 997H. Tackling its previously high barrier to entry, the newest iteration is a much more affordable alternative that sits at an accessible $90 USD price point. With almost no cut corners, the newest iteration features a heap of innovations with the GCEVA construction and modified outsole pushing the familiar design into a more modern realm. Synthetic leathers, suede, mesh, and various accents hold true to the ideals of the brand while its assortment of bright hues call back to previous colorways.

To ensure the 997H makes quite the splash on its launch date, New Balance is geared to release six new schemes — four for men and three for women — providing quite the selection for avid fans. Releasing on February 2nd, expect each pair to be available at New Balance as well as select retailers.
