Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Returns In Black And White

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Returns In Black And White

This year is certainly shaping up to be a bountiful one for fans of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. We’re not even two full months in, and we’ve already seen a duo of brand-new colorways: the “Neutral Grey” and the soon-to-release “Turbo Green.” It also looks as if there’s a cornucopia of other styles to follow as well — images of a fresh black/white pair have surfaced. At first glance, they may appear inherently familiar to Air Jordan 1 fans. After all, nearly identical colorblocking was used on the OG black/white pair from 1985 — which last re-released in 2014 — with the only switch-up being the laces, which opt for black instead of white. However, if you look more closely, you’ll certainly catch a few perceptible differences. The upper’s overlays/midfoot Swoosh boast a textured fur-style material instead of standard leather, while the standard stamped ball-and-wings logo is replaced by a raised badge-style embellishment. Due to the yin/yang color palette and aforementioned furry overlays, these new AJ1s have received an early “Panda” nickname, so grab a first look here and be sure to stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for further drop information as it’s available.
