Star Wars And adidas Revive Partnership With The Kobe Retro

Star Wars And adidas Revive Partnership With The Kobe Retro

The battle between good and evil in the Star Wars universe never ends, and it appears as if the long-running collaborative partnership between the Three Stripes and LucasFilm is similar in nature, as a new Galactic Empire-themed take on the adidas Crazy 1 has been revealed. Dressed in a black and red color scheme, the shoe’s striking sportscar-inspired construction is accented by a glossy overlaid black print that clashes with the Three Stripes graphic on the midfoot. Further accents arrive via the Empire’s signature motif on the tongue and a two-tone bar on the heel that offers both red and blue. Flecked black laces provide an extra touch of detail, and the shoe is rounded off with a co-branded insole. Originally known simply as The Kobe, the shoe was re-named the Crazy 1 when it re-released in 2006 after former adidas Basketball team member Kobe Bryant had defected from the Trefoil Brand’s ranks to join Nike, so it’s certainly humorous that the silhouette opts for stylings that are synonymous with the Dark Side of the Force. Although “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” won’t arrive in theaters until December, these Star Wars adidas will likely arrive this spring or summer alongside a new take on Damian Lillard‘s adidas Dame 5, complete with a retail price of $135 USD. Get a first look below, and stay tuned for more updates as they’re available.
