Original article posted April 26, 2019: Although originally created as an impact-cushioning, energy-providing running shoe, the Nike Shox R4 has lived many an alternate life since. All-black colorways of the shock-absorbing sneakers have long been a favorite of service industry professionals and referees the world over, so the silhouette is now set to spring forward into the present day with this new makeup that features a dark base and bold accents. The overwhelming majority of the upper is coated in pitch-black tones with the only deviations occurring on the heel and tongue, with the former featuring small orange flecks white the latter features a similar orange embellishment above white text branding.

The four-pronged foam cushioning system and Pebax stability plate are dressed in black as well, and a final semi-concealed pop of color arrives via the crimson accents on the outsole’s heel. These dress code-conforming Nike shoes are set to release on Nike.com April 3rd for $150 USD, so enjoy a full set of images below while you wait.
