Jayson Tatum Is The Newest Member Of Team Jordan

Being a Jordan Brand athlete is an honor that’s granted to only a select few NBA players, and the latest hooper to join the Jumpman is rising star Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics. Adding on to an already-impressive roster that’s anchored by the likes of Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul, Tatum is set to help bear the torch into the brand’s next decade. The signing does certainly come with more than a touch of shock, as Tatum was very recently one of the faces of Nike’s Adapt BB rollout, and also had a special Air Max 97 release earlier this month. However, Michael Jordan himself extolled the virtues of Jordan Brand to the Saint Louis native during a personal pitch — a sales job that one would have to imagine is extremely convincing. The rising forward is clearly excited for the road ahead, as he said “It’s a tremendous feeling to be a part of the Jordan Brand family. I can’t really express how happy and excited I am for this journey. It’s truly an honor.” Tatum has also been joined on JB by rookie Rui Hachimura of the Washington Wizards. Stay tuned for more info on the new partnership as it’s available, and be sure to check out our Jordan Release Dates page to see what’s hitting retailers over the next few months as well.
