Carnival Brings A Muay Thai Aesthetic To The ASICS GEL-DS Trainer

Carnival Brings A Muay Thai Aesthetic To The ASICS GEL-DS Trainer

Bangkok-based Carnival taps Muay Thai as its focal inspiration for their debuting collaboration with Japan’s very own ASICS. Taking the knife to the GEL DS Trainer, the two infuse bright contrast tones next to graphic hits in connection to the combative sport, pushing the retro-inspired silhouette into a ring of its own. Asymmetric in seldom, the pair sports alternating color blocking across few accents from right to left foot; the latter bears red across the heel with the next sporting blue while insoles outfit in the complete opposite choice of color. Tiger logos across the profile overlays are akin to gold medals with overarching primary notes staying on theme. Nubuck, mesh, and smooth leather refine the rest of the construction in a base of neutrals, while branded prints sit across the rear and along the accompanying apparel and tongues spell out “WORLD PERFORMANCE” in boldface. Grab a look at the pair right below and find it set to release at the Asian boutique on July 27th.
