Jordan Brand Shares A Closer Look At The Air Jordan 1 “Satin Black Toe”

The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” is one of the most highly-regarded OG colorways of Michael Jordan’s first-ever signature sneaker, and it’s set to make a splash once again this August when it arrives in an alternate “Satin Black Toe” makeup, exclusively for women. The red heel/collar flaps, white leather base, and black mudguard/overlays that give these Air Jordans their memorable moniker are all left intact. However, some of the materials are modified, providing plenty of unique flair. The aforementioned heel overlay and collar flaps are both dressed in a textured red fabric in place of standard leather, while the normal stamped ball-and-wings logo that graces the collar arrives by way of a metal badge. The sockliner is also swathed in silky fabric for premium fit and feel. Although these are indeed a spiritual successor of sorts to 2018’s Air Jordan 1 Satin Shattered Backboard, their re-creation of an OG style provides a compelling look that’s sure to have the ladies lined up and the fellas frantically checking the conversion charts to see if they can squeeze their foot into a pair. They’ll release on August 17th, so stay tuned for a full store list as the date draws closer, and enjoy a closer look/unboxing video right here in the meantime.
