Michael Le Made specially for the avid traveler and modern day adventurer, New York’s Alltimers and adidas craft what is so fittingly dubbed the “Discovery” collection, landing on new territory with a FW19 capsule that conversely harks back to the past. Inspired by those who paved the way for the last hundreds of years, the range is lead by the two sneakers of choice: the low profile Gazelle Super and the ever-retro ZX4000. Offering up distinctly different approaches to the same idea, the latter is something seemingly pulled from the archives in color blocking true to past eras and palettes unmistakable to that of vintage pairs; grey suedes fill much of the overlays with metallic silvers dressing up the toe at the very tip. Whites line the base layer as well as the laces and tongue while contrasting swathes of saturated blue and a neon yellow arriving outlined across the Three Stripes and outsole. The Gazelle, however, is objectively more toned down with white smooth leathers topped along a yellowed midsole and branded with debossed logos. Arriving alongside matching sets of apparel and accessories, the two silhouettes will make their return at adidas.com, select retailers, and the Alttimers site on August 3rd.
