Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 3 “Knicks”

The arrival of Jordan Brand’s fall retro lineup is right around the corner, and one of the most highly-anticipated pairs is the Air Jordan 3 “Knicks.” Boasting a palette that’s inherently New York hoops-themed and offering special details, it’s a cheeky-yet-welcome homage to basketball in the Big Apple, as Michael Jordan was known to take great joy in torching the Knicks at Madison Square Garden in front of NY luminaries like Spike Lee. Now, we’ve been given our most detailed look at the fresh colorway yet. The white leather upper features signature elephant print on the heel, eyestays, and mudguard, while Knicks-style orange and blue accents grace the midsole, collar, tongue, and eyelets. As this is obviously not an OG style, there’s a Jumpman present on the heel instead of a traditional Nike Air hit. Although the shoe’s outer look is undeniably striking, the most interesting detail arrives on the inside of the tongue. An orange badge is present there with a 4/8/88 date, a nod to MJ’s “Virus Game,” in which he dropped a calm 40 points on the Knicks at MSG, all while battling a debilitating bug. These Air Jordans will give Knicks fans and MJ lovers alike something to cheer about when they release on September 14th for $190 USD, so enjoy a thorough look directly below while you wait.
