Aimé Leon Dore’s New Balance 990v5 And 990v2 Are Releasing This Week

Continuing to foster their relationship with New Balance, Aimé Leon Dore further proves their mastery over signature offerings, bringing to light two colorful takes of both the 990v2 and 990v5 in a set piece fully enamored with Ivy League styling and retro framing. First teasing through an imaginative poster inspired by classic NB ads, the imprint then went on to fully expose both pairs — and their accompanying apparel — to the outdoors complete with moody cabins and dog in hand. While still being mysterious as to when these pieces were to drop, the New York streetwear brand has only now revealed their date and they’re first to be seen as an in-store offering. The older namesake model is taking on palettes of a vibrant reimagining, swapping out neutral drabs for a pairing of deep forest greens, vibrant yellow accents, and surroundings of a faded blue; the iconic grey does makes its way through in seldom, however, keeping in line with the Boston stalwart’s heritage next to a mostly white-dyed sole unit. Departing heavily, the newest iteration to the model darkens up across most of its accents as it composes largely of a light purple and the aforementioned earth tone. Grab a detailed look at the capsule right here and find the footwear dropping at their Mulberry location this Thursday, November 14th, with an online drop following shortly after on November 15th at 11am.
