The Nike Air Barrage Mid Adds Feminine Touches To New Women’s Exclusive Release

The Nike Air Barrage Mid Adds Feminine Touches To New Women’s Exclusive Release

Adding to the exclusivity-fire started in Japan last month, Nike recently teased a women’s exclusive iteration of the Nike Air Barrage Mid. Made popular in the realm of football by the likes of Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk and Pittsburgh Steeler Ernie Mills, the Nike Air Barrage line was always lauded for its “in-your-face” design, given that it’s a tall silhouette that flaunts layers of leather, mesh, velcro, and rubber, as well as a plethora of Nike branding (with the “AIR” on the midsole arguably being the most iconic). The Swoosh’s upcoming addition to the Barrage line contrasts the original release in a couple of ways. For starters, it’s built at a mid-height, and consists of pops of bright yellow across the toe and tongue, the strap’s tooling, and the outsole, differing from the white, black, and aqua colorway marketed to men in the 90s. Rounding out the women-exclusive edition is an oreo-speckle pattern on the lockdown strap, a feature first included to provide security to those playing the game of football. No release date is yet known for this upcoming Nike Air Barrage Mid, but if you’re interested in grabbing a pair, you can expect them at the shops listed below come December 13th, 2019..
