OBJ’s Dog-Inpsired Nike Cleats Support Local Animal Rescue Shelter In Cleveland

The past year has brought us some exciting in-game moments across sports, but has also seen the rise of eyeballs glued to pregame coverage with hopes of seeing exclusive and custom gear donned by our favorite athletes. One man who has certainly kept things exciting off the field is current Cleveland Browns wide-receiver Odell Beckham Jr, back with another attention-grabbing cleat for his week 14 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. OBJ’s upcoming “Pawsitively Fierce” cleat is covered entirely in a golden fur split around the toe in a black color. As if the canine-concept wasn’t clear enough by the soft material choice, the cleat has ear-like flaps near its ankle-opening (a-la-Dumb-and-Dumber-van). This playful footwear choice shows #13’s support of an animal rescue shelter in Cleveland as part of the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign; hundreds of other players are also anticipated to lace-up custom cleats inspired by causes close to them. The former Giant’s furry edition, a nod to his four American Pitbull Terriers, will be the first player-exclusive cleat he wears from pregame into in-game. There’s no telling how OBJ will perform against the Bengals, but we can confidently say that his cleats will bring joy to dog-lovers everywhere.
