This Nike Air Max 90 Is Covered In Air Bubbles

The start of 2020 marked 30 years of existence for Nike’s Air Max 90, and the fact that this milestone falls in line with a fresh decade gives the Sportswear staple a celebratory excuse to run wild with its imagination. Already seen playing around with Springtime colors as well as thematic installments referencing Valentine’s Day and global city workers, the lifestyle runner is now is indulging in a new design concept that focuses on textural experimentation.

This latest rendition carries an interesting motif that is representative of bubbles both figuratively and literally. All-over Air bubbles are attached to the toe box, tongues, and rear panels – almost giving these a Uline poly mailer vibe – which perhaps nod to the Swoosh’s innovative cushioning technology, and coupled with elements of actual air-wrapped soap films via iridescent accents glazed atop the mudguards and mid-foot paneling. Moreover, its theme is even further spoken to via insole graphics of the colorful liquid spheres that nestle in its light bending Nike branding. See an official gallery of photos here below, and expect these to drop on Nike.com in the coming weeks.
