Nike’s Liquid Metal Finish Arrives On The Women’s Aqua Rift

Nike’s Liquid Metal Finish Arrives On The Women’s Aqua Rift

Every so often, Nike dives – whether knowingly or not – into the world of avant-garde footwear. The Aqua Rift, a women’s silhouette, proves just that.

Blending features from the Air Rift and Aqua Gear of the ’90s, the Aqua Rift is undeniably rooted in running product innovation. The split toe, which has been praised by savvy fashion enthusiasts, nods to Nike’s first foray into the world of natural motion footwear. Though fit for the beach, uppers are given a futuristic spin not only via their exaggerated stance underfoot, but also with their metallic finishes on these two iterations. Reminiscent of the Air Max 90 trio launched this past Air Max Day, shimmering “Bronze” and “Silver” take over much of these Aqua Rifts. Heel areas, though clad in light grey and copper, forgo the shiny treatment. Chunky bottom-halves stay neutral in off-white.

No release date is yet known, but these two pairs of the Aqua Rift are likely to arrive to Nike.com soon. While you wait, enjoy official images of the shoes here below.
