While his take on the Air Max 270 React ENG may not influence the masses to rush to buy general releases of the model, tomorrow’s “Cactus Trails” drop dispels any doubt regarding Scott’s ability to make compelling product. Previous Air Jordan collaborations still remain among many collectors’ favorites, but Scott’s first Air Max joint-effort has delivered one of the more impressive roll-outs in recent memory.
Accompanying the official announcement of the desert palette-following Air Max 270, which also arrives with multi-colored lace locks, eye-catching Swoosh branding, and “patinated” sole units, has been a full e-commerce experience at cactustrailstradingco.com. The site appears to be a remnant of ’90s Internet and features wrestling legend Mick Foley in his Cactus Jack persona modeling not only the Air Max 270 “Cactus Trails,” but its accompanying apparel.
