Vault by Vans And Julian Klincewicz Celebrate Human Connection With A Bold Ni LX Trio

Vault by Vans has recently announced a collaboration with Southern California-based artist Julian Klincewicz. As a multi-disciplinary creative, Klincewicz has expressed his worldview across film and music for names like Kanye West and Acne Studios. On August 1st, he takes to Vans‘ Bold Ni LX to explore compassion, community, and communication.

Inspired by the Latin prefix “COM” (meaning “together”), the collection celebrates three pillars Klincewicz believes are crucial to human connection. Each standard appears in metallic gold on the tongues of the Bold Ni LX trio, and is accompanied by hand-sketched stars, hearts, and flowers. The pairs, which boast either “Grey Ridge”, “Black Beauty”, or “Eden” colorways, feature premium suede uppers, goatskin collars and tongue, and classic rubber sole units. Furthermore, “COMPASSION”, “COMMUNITY”, and “COMMUNICATION” iterations include a silkscreened Ollie-pad on the lateral forefoot, custom heathered laces, and Vans Ultracush® insoles stamped with the 24-year-old’s name. Each pair comes in a custom box and drawstring dustbag. Additionally, the capsule coincides with a $10,000 USD donation from the California-institution to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.

“I love the idea that we are not alone,” said Klincewicz. “[W]e’re all humans. We’re in it together.”
