The Concepts x adidas ZX9000 Is Inspired By Marathon Runner Mylar Recovery Blankets

The Concepts x adidas ZX9000 Is Inspired By Marathon Runner Mylar Recovery Blankets

After trekking down to sunny Southern California to the desert lands of Joshua Tree, the adidas A-ZX series is hopping on a flight to travel 2,877 miles east to Massachusetts to fill the “C” letter in their periodic table and link up with streetwear retailer Concepts for a brand new ZX 9000 collaboration.

The Originals model, after being influenced by the art of pottery making with the assistance of END, is now being brought back to the frontlines for a brand new makeover emblematic of the mylar recovery blankets often used by runners to keep warm post-running a marathon. This project surely makes sense considering that Concepts is based out of Boston, and the city is notorious for its annual April marathon. Its base constructions reflect its muse as they are costumed in metallic silver fabrications with a crinkled aesthetic and arrive coupled next to supporting patriotic accents presented through the stripe branding and navy blue molds located atop the midsoles and rear paneling. If you’re looking to add these to your rotation, they will be releasing early at Concepts on September 6th, followed by an adidas.com drop on September 12th for $140 USD.

In other news, official images of the Yeezy 700 Azareth have surfaced.
