Elliot Santiago After partnering up with BAIT and Pixar’s beloved Toy Story earlier this Summer, Reebok is now upping the ante on their animation-influenced catalog by partnering up with everyone’s favorite yellow organisms from the Despicable Me saga. The Minions, which are no stranger to collaborations as they’ve arrived on apparel with the likes of BBC Ice Cream and Baby Milo, as well as on sneakers with Puma in 2017, are now navigating their way onto a duo of Reebok classics.
The partnership was teased by the vector brand only two days ago, and it’s meant to celebrate the forthcoming Minions: The Rise of Gru film that’s set to debut in Summmer 2021. And now, we have a detailed look at the ever-classic Instapump Fury rendition. Bold in design, the pair translates the skins of the comical cartoon characters by shrouding the uppers/midsoles in “Prime Yellow”, and tosses in hits of blue down the throat, pull tabs, and treading to speak to their denim overalls. Additionally, the pump buttons have be altered to match that of their magnified eye balls, and the footbeds feature a full collage of actual Minions clumped together in their usual pack.
