A Ma Maniére’s Upcoming Jordan Collaboration Focuses On Timeless Luxury

About a week ago, A Ma Maniére scrapped the original release date for their Jordan collaboration. This was likely to give the collection’s apparel some more lead time, so that each piece is cut, constructed, and made to the quality the boutique expects. And while they may lean towards sportwear in influence, every item expresses the same timeless, classic luxury as the Air Jordan 3s themselves.

Grounded in simplicity, the range starts first with a number of elevated basics. Graphic long-sleeved shirts dress with oversized prints, while their oversized, short-sleeved alternates prefer more tasteful, miniature embroideries. The intentionally faded wash and vintage feel are, then, dialed up for the hoodies, whose collars are snipped like many a well-loved hand-me-down. Athletics shorts pair below quite well, detailed with an A Ma Maniére monogram and some jacquard lining. Moreover, the outerwear and matching cargo trousers offer something more expensive as they proffer luxe satin fabrics.

The apparel as well as the aforementioned Air Jordan 3s will release on April 21st. The shoes, which retail for $200 USD, will be available from a men’s 3.5/women’s 5 to a men’s 14/women’s 15.5.

Updated April 21st, 2021: A release date has been postponed to April 28th, 2021. James Whitner of A Ma Maniere has released a statement: “This day and this moment cannot be overshadowed by sneakers. We must take the time to take stock of what this moment means for Black folks and what we must demand from our criminal and justice system. As we call justice served, more lives are lost. A 15-year old Black girl lost her life yesterday as the verdict was announced. It’s a constant empty feeling for us, our reality is never easy.
