Japanese Gardening Traditions Inspire The Nike Dunk Low “Rooted In Peace”

The Nike Dunk Low has made a couple of appearances on the Nike By You customization platform, but it continues to emerge in styles that suggest it’s far from running out of inspiration. For its latest proposition, Peter Moore’s 36-year-old design looks to Japanese gardening traditions for a “Rooted In Peace” arrangement.

Clad in a number of earth tones, the forthcoming pair indulges in sashiko-reminiscent embroidery throughout its mid-foot and rear panels. Suede and treated leather appear all-throughout the sneaker’s upper, with the latter component boasting a mesmerizing green at the top of the tongue and heel. Tree roots stylized as a peace sign are stamped onto the lateral heel, while also appearing in pin form alongside five other gardening-inspired designs. Additionally, a rich green handkerchief is included in the special edition shoebox, a tool for any outdoor endeavor. Lastly, the Air Jordan 1 Low-like proposition pairs its white midsole with a fan-favorite semi-translucent gum bottom.

Enjoy official images of the Dunk Low “Rooted In Peace” ahead, and anticipate more Nike SNKRS release details as summer gets underway.

Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” is set to return for the first time ever in August.
