The Nike Air More Uptempo Rearranges The “Hoop Pack” Colorway

The Nike Air More Uptempo has been among the more loved hoops-ready silhouettes from the 1990s. Currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, the bold design has emerged in a handful of original and retro colorways throughout the first six months of 2021.

For its latest sensible, the Scottie Pippen-endorsed sneaker has ostensibly rearranged the “Black/University Red/White” colorway introduced by 2017’s “Hoop Pack.” Leather bases and their fabric reinforcement around the toe indulge in a pitch-“Black” aesthetic, not red. The iconic “AIR” lettering on the profiles swap the color trifecta’s darkest hue with an eye-catching scarlet that also animates branding at the forefoot, top of the tongue and medial heel; visible Air Max units follow suit. Lastly, “White” rounds out the palette by outlining a number of components across the upper (including the “8” on the heel), as well as taking over the majority of the tried-and-proven outsole.
