More Experimental Branding Appears On This Sporty Nike Air Force 1 Low

The Nike Air Force 1 may have debuted almost four decades ago but it is still one of the most popular, bestselling sneakers in the world. Embracing both tradition and modernity, Bruce Kilgore’s design has been constantly reimagined through a lens reflective of current fashion trends. An upcoming pair continues to prove this case by introducing a gridded patterns and a new form of experiemental branding.

A color palette of white, black, and royal blue, delivers a crisp new style to the Swoosh’s audience. The pair flaunts a familiar white smooth leather base with a matching rubber midsole. Blue Swooshes are emblazoned on both sides and are animated by a black outline. Touches of black are also applied to branded elements elsewhere, such as the heel tab and the “AIR” logo on the midsole. Additionally, “Nike” is embroidered on black at the forefoot of the lateral side—a design cue that hasn’t been channeled before. Experimentation continues with the blue heel tab opting for a patent leather build for a glossy look and the tongue showcasing a grid pattern. The tongue also finds a way to get playful with branding—specifically by adding a smudged, motion blur-like effect on the Nike logo. Finally, a dash of royal blue is applied to the sockliner and outsole for the final touches of color on this experimental yet sleek style.

Take a closer look at the Air Force 1 below, which will arrive at Nike.com and the listed retailers in the coming months at a price of $110.
