While arguably the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day can easily conjure up greater feelings of loneliness. And if you, like many of us, lament the holiday for its over-glorification of love, both Nike and I assure you that your soulmate is most certainly out there. You’ll just have to trust that the red string of fate leads you swiftly to their embrace.

For the uninitiated, the red string of fate is the belief that everyone’s pinky finger is tied to an invisible thread, one that will inevitably lead you to your destined person. Deeply rooted in East Asian culture, the myth appears to have struck a chord with none other than the Swoosh, as they’re paying homage to it with the newly-revealed Dunk Low “Valentine’s Day.” While much of the shoe is understated in form — consisting almost entirely of neutral colors — the pair does visualize the legend across its insoles, depicting two hands connected by said imperceivable cord. What’s more, the latter also wraps around the Swoosh of the adjacent tongue label.

Enjoy a very early look at the Nike SB Dunk Low “Valentine’s Day” right here. At the time of writing this, a firm release date has not yet been revealed; it’s highly likely, though, that these will be available ahead of February 14th.

In other news, the A Ma Maniere Jordan Air Ship is releasing again later this October.
