Devin Booker Debuts A “Cool Grey” Nike BOOK 1

The highly anticipated signature shoe surfaces in a new colorway.

Devin Booker Debuts A “Cool Grey” Nike BOOK 1

Devin Booker’s signature shoe, the Nike BOOK 1, officially debuted to much fanfare during Nike’s World Basketball Festivities back in September 2023. Lauded for its simplicity, adherence to heritage, and use of suede/leather materials, the BOOK 1 was a refreshing take on the modern day signature basketball shoe, combining elegance with personal touches that succinctly describe Booker’s aesthetic.

Thus far, we’ve seen the BOOK Chapter 1 — an orange-flooded execution with scaly snakeskin textures on the upper. Now, we’re getting a first look at the new “Cool Grey”, spotted on Booker’s feet during the Phoenix Suns practices. The new colorway features the soothing neutral shade on the toe and heel overlay as well as the perforated ankle. A tumbled leather covers the Swoosh logo, surrounded by a textured canvas-like fabric upholstery. Below, the white sole gets hit with cool grey speckling.

Some personal touches to the BOOK1 include “96”, which was the Suns star’s birth year. The heel pull-tab features extra layers in white to mimic the pages of a book, while the BOOK1 logo appears on the tongue.

A firm release date is not yet known, but with the Nike BOOK 1 set to debut in early 2024, we will likely see more information surface as the year closes out.
