Hajime Sorayama Helps PUMA Celebrate Their 75th Birthday

In honor of their 75th anniversary, PUMA has joined forces with none other than Hajime Sorayama on a collection comprised of both footwear and apparel.

Hajime Sorayama is no stranger to the world of sneakers, having lent his expertise to brands the likes of Mizuno, Li-Ning, and even BAPE. Now, he’s teaming up with PUMA, celebrating both the above-mentioned milestone as well as the 50th birthday of the Clyde. As part of the capsule, the latter silhouette has been cast in a silver metallic finish, visually referencing the work of the revered Japanese artist. Gilded finishes are then applied to the laces and inner lining, while the suedes along the formstripe and tongue opt for a light grey. Sorayama’s signature completes this design as well as the more understated look of the accompanying Slipstream Mid.

What’s more, Sorayama has reinterpreted PUMA’s Jumping Cat logo, likening the icon to the imaginative robotics of his own making. This graphic is present across several different garments, from the puffer vest to the zip-up shirt.

Enjoy a closer look at the Hajime Sorayama’s take on the PUMA Clyde and Slipstream Mid ahead. Both sneakers as well as the clothing will be available at select retailers and on PUMA.com come October 22nd.
