Nike’s Air Max 1 “Malachite” Could Be Your Lucky Charm

Expected to release Spring 2024.

Nike’s Air Max 1 “Malachite” Could Be Your Lucky Charm

Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Max 1 design from 1987 has recently appeared with “Malachite” accents.

The offering is the latest makeover of the revolutionary silhouette in a long-line of styles ready for a Spring 2024 launch. Similar to inaugural looks from the late ’80s, the newly-surfaced pair features a “White” mesh base layer complemented by grey and other tones. Fabric panels along the tongue opt for a muted “Pure Platinum” finish, while profile swooshes and mudguards revel in titular “Malachite” flair. Branding hits on the tongue label and spine follow suit, making for a compelling take on Hatfield’s creation for next year’s sunny days. The latest Air Max 1 is nearly-identical to a “Hunter Green” option from 2020, but the upcoming launch features brighter hits of green.

Elsewhere, the pioneering Air Max design keeps things relatively simple. Tried-and-proven sole units opt for a predominantly “White” and “Black” arrangement. Visible Air bubbles don’t detract from their surroundings either. Waffle-patterned traction underfoot, however, bring rich green flavor to the iconic tooling.

Enjoy detailed shots of the pair ahead, as firm nike.com launch details are disclosed by the brand. The “Malachite” Air Max 1 is priced at $140 USD.
