New Balance 610 “Lunar New Year” Lands In Two Earthly Colorways

Why not kick 2024 off with a pair of foresty green or oceanic navy blue NB 610s?

New Balance 610 “Lunar New Year” Lands In Two Earthly Colorways

We’ve already seen quite a few special edition sneakers honoring the 2024 lunisolar calendar year; now we have the New Balance 610 “Lunar New Year” dropping in two earthly tones on the first day of the new year (January 1) with a price of $140.

Compared to recent 610 colorways, the “Lunar New Year” are a bit more street-friendly and would blend in with casual clothing a bit more seamlessly. For instance, the New Balance 610 “Realtree” and trail-ready 610 “Phantom” both look more appropriate for a walk through the woods and may obstruct the flow of a simple urban outfit.

The two pairs share the same concoction of layered materials, including washed suede and hairy suede overlays with a mesh underlay. Both colorways feature Turtledove laces and midsole with a black outer sole, though there are a few small differences in the colorblocking.

Curiously, the 610 “Lunar New Year” doesn’t have any noticeable elements that relate to the celebration it’s named after, especially when compared to offerings from other brands, too, such as Nike’s “Year Of The Dragon” Air Force 1, which is also set to release in 2024.
