Official Images Of The Air Jordan 6 “Olympic”

Despite last participating in the Olympics Games in 1992, Michael Jordan has stood as a beacon of motivation for the world’s most winningest athletes. No top prize in competition has as much significance as a gold medal, and in the context of sneakers, no pair has as much impact as the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic”.

This August 3rd, Jordan Brand will revive one of the most iconic Olympics-inspired releases in history — the Air Jordan 6. Originally dropping in 2000 for the Sydney Games, this special edition version honored the USA with a navy, white, and red mix on the Air Jordan 6. While not on MJ’s feet during the iconic 1992 Dream Team run, the AJ6 has always stood for excellence as it was the shoe that Jordan won his first NBA Title with.

In 2000, Jordan Brand was aiming to introduce new colorways to the Air Jordan legacy, While re-issues of past originals were still at the core, the new Nike, Inc. subsidiary got experimental with its colorways — the Olympic 6s being among the more unconventional. For over a decade, the Air Jordan 6 “Olympic” was one of the most sought after pairs on the market, so much so that Jordan Brand decided to bring the shoe back in 2012 — but with a major change on the midsole color-blocking.

In 2024, the Jumpman is keeping it true to the original. With hopes of sparking that flame to a wider audience, Jordan Brand is dropping the shoe in full family sizes for the first time ever.

Official images of the shoes have now surfaced; it’s now a waiting game until the official release on August 3rd (SNKRS + Jordan retailers).
