If you follow the game of basketball and the daily news surrounding the sport, then you’ve probably seen the Nike LeBron 21 sitting front and center of a lot of headlines for its evidently game-changing results.

LeBron’s twenty-first shoe has been the center of some controversy involving the NBA’s in-game replay. This still image captured from actual game footage between LA and Minnesota, as posted by LeBron himself, shows the toe of his LeBron 21 shoe separated by the blue three-point line by a hair of hardwood, thus indicating that the ensuing bucket should be counted as three points. However, referees only counted it as two, ending the game in a loss for the Lakers. From this vantage point of this camera angle, the foot appears to be behind the line, but an aerial top-down look likely shoes the toe hovering above it.

We’re here to bring the LeBron 21 back to the headlines, but only to inform you of a new “Algae” colorway draped in a full suede upper in Oil Green and buttressed by a tonal Vapor Green outsole. It continues the marine-themed approach that began with the debut “Akoya” colorway back in late September, and will be apparent in other upcoming drops like the LeBron 21 “Aragonite”.

Loyalists of the King can circle their calendars for January 25th as these will arrive at Nike Basketball retailers for $200, so await further details and official images until then.

In other LeBron news, the LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD “First Game” is set to release on January 5th.
