The Nike Air Max 90 “Alchemy Pink” Ignores Subtlety

Long considered a form of fashionable expression, sneakers have now become commonplace as obscure models embraced by core fans quickly hit the mainstream. That’ll be the work of social media, where news and trends travel fast. So how else can you stand out with your sneakers?

Nike has been skewing heavily towards muted tones as of late, bringing faded, dull shades to its classic models. No shade, though, because it’s a formula that works. But sometimes we all need a little bit of edge, and this Air Max 90 is the cure with its vivid pairing of Alchemy Pink, bright Habanero Red, and Total Orange. Just a touch of that Dusty Cactus teal appears on the miniature jeweled Swoosh, Nike Air branding on the heel medallion, and on the visible Air unit.
