The freshest composite silhouette from Jordan, as its name suggests, combines the three sneakers Mike made famous in his first three-peat. In previous editions of the Jordan Jumpman MVP 678, like the “Cardinal” or “Oreo,” Jordan Brand eased the new model into rotation by relying on OG palettes. Now with more than a year under its belt, the Jordan Jumpman MVP 678 is returning to the well for a familiar version in “White/Red/Black.”

Unlike those aforementioned pairs, the design here isn’t a total dead ringer for OG editions of its fused predecessors. Most evidently, the white shade that takes up the upper isn’t as pristine as on MJ’s Bulls footwear, instead landing a couple shades from that eggshell. Despite that difference, it’s nonetheless instantly recognizable as at least Chicago inspired, with white/red shoes like White/Red 6s, 7s and Bugs Bunny 8s standing out as the clearest comparisons. Finally, the Jordan 8 rear panel has most frequently appeared on the 678 with the original paintbrush design, but JB has proved willing to experiment on that feature.

Limited to women’s sizing, the Jordan Jumpman MVP 678 “White/Red/Black” should be expected to hit retailers in the coming weeks. Anticipate a price of $165 should you pick up a pair for yourself.

Elsewhere, another OG colorway is just around the corner in refreshed fashion- take a look at the latest on the Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined.”
