Nike Air More Uptempo Hits The Scene In Gum And Red Tones

Expected for a release in the coming weeks, the pair threads the needle between a fall and summer edition.

Nike Air More Uptempo Hits The Scene In Gum And Red Tones

With its predominant spell-out branding and overall blocky design, the the Nike Air More Uptempo continues to shine as a principal retro style out of Oregon. Though the OG colorways certainly command the most attention, there’s no shortage of new formulations in their calendar- exactly the case with the upcoming “White/Red/Gum” Air More Uptempo.

The segmented midsole and air unit for the model has long allowed a lot of creative possibilities in a sometimes neglected section. Here, the usual “gum sole” idea is twisted a bit, with that beige alternated on each slice rather than taking up the whole element. On the sneaker as a whole, white dominates, but red provides some key accenting on the Swooshes and under that spell-out graphic. This new iteration strikes close to territory touched on late last year with the Air More Uptempo “Team Red/Gum.” That kids-only release clearly was a successful formula, as in this release, Nike is revisiting the concept with just a few alterations.

Expected for a GR drop in the coming weeks, the Nike Air More Uptempo “White/Red/Gum” will retail for $175. Scroll down for a full suite of images and info on where to check for your pair.
