The following article was published on March 4th, 2024:

As the weather starts warming up, Jordan Brand is aiming to insert themselves into your next round of 18. The Air Jordan 9 Golf, an extension of the brand’s tributes to Mike’s favorite past-time away from the hardwood, slide in as a perfect way to bring his kicks to the green.

In their initial run as a golf shoe back in 2016, the side model Jordan 9s mirrored mainline retros that only predated them by a matter of months. Namely, “Bred” and “Barons” colorways were the choice as the 9 began their new life. Here, in their second true push, these “Cool Grey” editions are part and parcel of a different, throwback-oriented strategy as it calls back to the 2002 release.

Following the “Playoff” Jordan 9 Golf announced several weeks back, JB is instead leaning towards some of their most instantly recognizable versions. The circular cleated soles are the real novel addition to the familiar silhouette, though these do stand apart from other 9 Low releases via the extended tongue that stretches above the sock liner. Outside of the new performance tooling and slight tweak in that detail, these stay very true to now iconic design.

The Air Jordan 9 Golf “Cool Grey” are expected to drop this month in men’s sizing, carrying a $230 price tag. To stay in the loop with the rest of this month’s biggest releases, check out our newly updated Jordan Release Dates page.
