The following article was published on March 16th, 2024:

When the Jordan Tatum 2 was revealed in December, two initial colorways were unveiled alongside it. One, the “Momma’s Boy” version, ended up as the debut look for the shoe. Now, a handful of months later, we’re getting a detailed look at the other with the Jordan Tatum 2 “Vortex.”

In our coverage of the silhouette’s announcement, we noted how Tatum’s ability to keep a calm, collected demeanor regardless of outside events heavily inspired both the model and its colorways. “Vortex” may be the fullest embrace of that concept, with the seafoam shade that paints the upper intended to evoke an atmosphere of serenity. That emotion is further driven home by the aqua that dresses the interior sockliner. Conversely, the rubber and foam medial pods, arguably the signature design aspects of the silhouette, reflect “the outside world” with their near-radioactive shades of green and red.

The Jordan Tatum 2 “Vortex” will release on April 4th carrying a $125 retail price, with full family sizes confirmed. Just ahead, you’ll find a collection of retailer images and direct links on where to get your pair on drop day.

Very close to that date, another Nike silo will make their debut with the upcoming Nike KD 17.
