“Picante Red” Radiates From A Metallic Nike Zoom Vomero 5

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is at this point a pretty widely accessible sneaker, draped in a rainbow of colorways as a continued retro offensive streams out of Beaverton. Considering the wave’s emphasis on silver tones, the upcoming Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Photon Dust/Picante Red” slides in as another pretty successful take on the style.

A majority of this shoe will ring familiar for those who have been checking in with the silhouette for a while. An orthodox mix of white, black, cream and grey paints the shoe from top to bottom, with additional depth coming via the 3M-like stripes that grace the overlays. “Picante Red” provides animated contrast in its slight presence, making a big impact despite being siloed to the Swoosh, outsole and heel strap. Even if the end result isn’t transformative, it’s a novel color-blocking scheme in and of itself, perhaps hinting that similar experimentations will be more frequent moving forward.

No concrete release date has been set fo the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Picante Red.” Instead, expect this pair popping up at retailers and on Nike.com in the near future.
